VISA URGENT MESSAGE

From the 1st  July  2012, the Embassy of Italy will partially close down its Visa department, which is to be transferred to the Consulate General of Italy in Johannesburg. The Embassy of Italy will continue to issue visas to holders of Diplomatic and Official passports (not Ordinary passports and not applications for Malta) as well as to residents of Mauritius, Madagascar, Namibia and Lesotho.Until further notice,  the Embassy of Italy will continue to issue visas for Malta.The applicants  may schedule an appointment with the Visa outsourcing company “Capago” before handling in their applications.
South African citizens living in Pretoria may schedule an appointment with the Visa outsourcing company “Capago” BEFORE handling in their applications. Capago is already handling visas for the Consulate General of Italy in Johannesburg and has now opened a branch in Pretoria.
 
Applications must be submitted at Capago South Africa's Visa-Center located in Pretoria:   Hatfield Business Park,  1267 Pretorius Street,  Hatfield  0028.
The Capago Visa-Center is open from Monday to Friday  8am to 5pm.
